Intercol has a wide range of hot melt adhesives in stock in Ede. Many of these hot melts are used for coating, applying a thin layer to a layer of textile, foam, wood or foil.
Types of hot melt for coating
Often self-adhesive hot melts are coated, as an alternative to sticking double-sided adhesive foils or tapes. Especially foams and foils are made self-adhesive. Hot melt is also often used for self-adhesive tapes, especially the special tapes, such as glass fiber reinforced tapes and duct tape. Hot melt coating can be done with:
- Self-adhesive PSA hot melts
- PUR hot melts
- Polyolefin hot melts with a long open time
Experience
Intercol has extensive experience in advising the right hot melt, depending on the required properties in terms of strength, heat resistance and environmental factors, the best hot melt will be selected.
Applications
the coating of hot melts is often done with a roller coater or with an extrusion nozzle. These applications usually require specific hot melts in connection with stability and processability.
Hand applications
Hand guns can be used for hand applications or tests. These are available at Intercol's laboratory for testing various hot melt adhesives.
