Intercol has a number of hot melts that are already stuck after a very short pressing time. These hot melts are mainly used for box, tray and cardboard erectors that have a pressing time of 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4 or 0.5 seconds.
The pressing time and application must correspond to the speed of a hot melt adhesive. A hot melt adhesive must set faster, or have a high enough hot tack or tack to hold the packaging together on very fast running machines with a high production capacity. The different terminologies used for this are:
- Fast drying hot melt
- Hot melt with high adhesive strength
- Fast fiber bonding
- Fast adhering hot melt adhesive.
- Rapid cooling of the hot melt
- Very good and powerful pressing of the hot melt
